Catarina Amaro (Oporto, 2000) is a Graphic and Fashion Designer currently living in Barcelona. Relying on her drawing as a means for expression since an early age, the majority of her creative works reflect influences of her youth and the evolving perceptions of ‘being’, recalling a personal experience throughout time. A raw yet sensitive analysis of the self is turned into a visual, personal interpretation, where the ego and the matter of time as a variable, are linked and intrinsic to the motto. Quitting a previous Realistic approach, Catarina dives into an analogue sketching style which is combined with a digital technique, allowing the artworks to be better perceived, as a subtle sense of dissatisfaction present in the dark composition gets absorbed.
